Spotlight on: Binge Watching

Have you heard of “binge watching”? With the invention of Netflix, online streaming and PVR people are binge watching television series more and more. Binge watching means you watch a large number of episodes of a particular show in one sitting. We no longer have to wait a week to see the newest episode of our favourite TV show. We now have access to entire seasons online simultaneously, at the click of a button. Netflix has really revolutionized the way we watch TV. With Netflix original hits such as House of Cards and Orange is the New Black released in one mass lump, people are consuming TV in larger doses.

Lucky for you the Oxford County Library has entire TV seasons available to borrow! Here are some that we suggest as great binge watchers with links to our copy of the first season of each.

Mad Men (seasons 1-6) – Follows the gender politics of an ad agency in the 1960s.
